Nikon once again deliver innovation and optical quality with the 7205 Action Zoom x1. It promises quick focusing, superb images, and strain-free viewing, for pros and novices. And as we have come to expect with Nikon, this set of nocs is very impressive despite a few minor issues. One customer called it a “miracle”! A little over-the-top mabe.

Here’s a quick run-down of the major features:

DESIGN

• usable right out of the box, easy controls
• not exactly light to carry, but not that heavy either, at 33.5 ounces. Measures 7.6 inches long and 7.2 inches wide

ACCESSORIES

• soft case and covers for eyepieces and lenses
• tripod mount included

OPTICS

• 10x zoom will suffice for most viewing needs, but you can effortlessly slide a lever and go as far as 22x
• front lense measures 50mm, and lets in a good amount of light, enabling this binocular to perform well in the day and at night
• a world class lense for crystal clear views – so powerful that I was able to see mountains on the moon
• at 22x you will probably need to “steady” the bins to get a clear image. Star-gazers will need a tripod.
• sharp multi-coated optics give superb contrast and color
• cutting edge technology in the Bak4 high index prisms
• Diopter adjustment for strain-free viewing. This compensates for left eye-right eye vision imbalance

CONCLUSION

If you think you would benefit from having the extra zoom power, these nocs are highly recommended. They will give you countless hours of close-up action. They are totally worth the asking price in my opinion.
